I got sick and learned what real wealth is

The past four months, I’ve been unwell with what felt like a never-ending battle with pneumonia.

I’m sharing this because my business is the reason I’ve been able to afford doctors appointments, medicines, specialists, and therapies while still supporting my everyday life abroad. It has also given me the privilege to work from home instead of dragging myself into an office or job that drains me while trying to heal.

I’ve even been able to travel to multiple countries to see specialists and therapists who have next level supported my recovery, especially on the days where I felt like a lost cause because my body was so tired of fighting illness.

But today reminded me how abundant my life truly is because of the business I’ve built.

Instead of working myself to exhaustion or being chained to a desk, I got to spend the afternoon at brunch with a dear soul friend, lay in the sun at the Gulbenkian, and slowly make my way to my LAST doctor’s appointment.

Only to find out that all illness has officially left the premises and I get to return to normal life THIS weekend.

I’m grateful.

I’m grateful that I created a business that sustains me.

I’m grateful that I get to support beautiful women all over the world so they can take care of themselves while building businesses they love too.

And most importantly, I’m grateful for the doctors, therapists, and healers who invested in themselves so they could support humanity through some of its hardest moments.

This is WHY I built a business I LOVE.

So I can take care of myself while supporting women all over the world to build businesses and lives that truly take care of them too.

Because what’s the point of building something beautiful if your body is exhausted, your nervous system is overwhelmed, and your life no longer feels like your own?

This season reminded me that wealth is not just money.

It’s support.
It’s rest.
It’s choice.

It’s having the ability to heal without your entire life falling apart.

And that is exactly the kind of business and life I want every woman to know is possible for her too.
